End of Summer

Summer is coming to an end and Grosse Pointe is spending the last days in cabins and cottages up North. J. House is no exception. But away from the store translates to "out of sight but not out of mind." Away on Mackinac Island, we had so much fun making and sometimes baking in this much larger hotel kitchen!

Having your goods arrive via horse drawn dray on a foggy morning:

First you must start the day with a healthy breakfast and of course a bottle of organic, raw, cold-pressed juice

Then off to work:

Raw Cashew and Coconut balls now named "Blonde Jen's" because they are her favorites.

These are our sweet muffins made with our carrot pulp. We are working to use every part of our vegetables. These are chock full of our seeds, hemp, pumpkin, chia, flax and some nuts too.

Sooo tasty, and good for you too. Making another batch of fiber filled Lax Balls Brunette Jen's favorites: luscious house made truffles, wrapped with cashew butter and cashew nuts. Delectable and healthy as a truffle can be!!!

Experimenting with our new Boulevard bars. A nut, seed, cranberry mix held together with Medjool dates and topped with a rich dark chocolate ganache Pans awaiting a gluten-free Adventure Bread. So dense with seeds, nuts, and perfect for toasting with our homemade almond butter and jam.

Working on some new and exciting hot chocolate drinks….J.House Loves you!

Heading back home and looking toward fall. Summer ends too soon!
